Designed to be the centerpiece of the forthcoming High Street Development Project, the stadium will be located directly across from the Lexington Convention Center and Rupp Arena.

The stadium, designed by renowned architecture firm Gensler, would exceed a capacity of 6,000 and feature 45,000 square feet of entertainment-focused retail with patio views overlooking both the stadium and Rupp Arena. The surrounding development project would include a 160-room hotel, a 250-unit resort-style residential development and two integrated parking garages with a minimum of 2,000 parking spaces. The stadium project will create a broader entertainment area in the heart of downtown Lexington, sitting adjacent to the recently opened LEX Live, as well as the neighboring Central Bank Center and Rupp Arena, which have recently undergone major renovations,.

“Lexington is the ideal home for a thriving professional soccer club. We have all of the ingredients needed to make Lexington Pro Soccer one of the best teams in the league–except a professional-quality stadium,” said Bill Shively, Founder of Tower Hill Sports and Majority Owner of Lexington Pro Soccer. “We’re firmly committed to building a state-of-the-art stadium for Lexington’s soccer club, and we hope to do that right in the heart of downtown Lexington.”

In addition to its stadium design, Lexington Pro Soccer has undergone in-depth branding development over the past three months. This process, which has included significant input from Central Kentucky residents, will lead to the creation of the club’s official name, crest and colors, which are expected to be released in the near future.

Lexington Pro Soccer’s inaugural season will begin Spring 2023 at a local collegiate facility. Lexington Pro Soccer was announced as a USL League One expansion club on Oct. 5, 2021. Aside from fielding a professional club, Lexington Pro Soccer intends to reinvest in local talent, form a world-class soccer academy and training facility to expand youth access to soccer and offer older players a route back into the sport.
