The new, three-year deal will see the university’s name sit proudly on the front of the away shirt of the club’s men’s first team and on the back of the men’s first-team’s home and third shirts for the 2022/23 season.
The university’s name will also sit on the front of the home and third shirt worn by Karen Hills’ Addicks and on the back of the team’s away shirt.
The agreement will see the relationship grow in areas including community outreach, student work opportunities, research and knowledge transfer.
Charlton Athletic’s Commercial Director, Wayne Mumford said: “We are really pleased to expand our partnership with the University of Greenwich. We’ve worked closely together over the last season and are excited to be able to expand our partnership.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Jane Harrington said: “The University of Greenwich enjoys a great relationship with Charlton Athletic Football Club and Community Trust.
“We have been working together for over 10 years and are both big parts of the community. We both believe that sport and education have the power to drive change – with inclusivity being at the heart of everything we do. I look forward to continuing our work together over the next three years.”
The club’s Owner and CEO, Thomas Sandgaard, said: “We are very proud to partner with one of our neighbours and such a reputable organisation.
“I’m really pleased with the partners we are working with, they believe in our ability to take this club to another level and want to be part of our growth.”
Greenwich students will also be given work opportunities with the club, trust and its partners, as well as benefiting from reduced ticket prices for home matches.
There will also be five university partnership day matches at The Valley, as well as collaboration on events such as summer schools and university open days.
